Stimcord Online: Shaping Progressive Rock with AI

Hi there, AI artists, AI collaborators, musicians, and anyone who isn’t even sure what to call themselves in this new world of AI-assisted music production.

My name is Will Reyka. I grew up in a family of musicians and started composing and producing music over 35 years ago. With a background in media, design, and 3D animation, I now create progressive rock and genre-blending albums as the manager and producer of Stimcord. Harnessing generative AI, I write, record, and design every aspect of my releases, including “Re” and “Scandalous” (2024), with the upcoming album “Fallout” currently in production.
My mission is to unite technology and artistic vision, making creative production more accessible while staying true to the progressive spirit: experimentation, long-form storytelling, and social reflection. In the future, virtual band members and avatars are planned for Stimcord to bring socially critical lyrics and progressive compositions to life by merging real-world experience with digital art.
Stimcord.com is a space for explaining how AI in music really works – beyond hype, fear, and marketing. By sharing my own workflows and collaborating with other AI-assisted prog artists, I aim to show concrete, honest examples of how humans and machines can create together, where the limits are, and where misunderstandings come from.
Through interviews, curated articles, and a dedicated blog section, Stimcord engages with press statements, social media debates, and real-world use cases to bring the current state of AI music technology onto a more personal, artist-centered level. The goal is to reduce prejudice, highlight informed criticism, and invite prog fans and creators into a nuanced conversation about the future of music.
